Stefan is the Vice-Dean of the University of Applied Sciences Europe degree program Sport & Event Management. He received his MBA and his PhD from Freie Universität Berlin, and the German Football Association awarded his PhD thesis with second place at its science award. His main teaching and research areas are sport marketing, sport sponsorship management, ticketing, price management and service marketing. As guest professor, Stefan has taught at the Real Madrid Graduate School and since 2008 he has worked as consultant in the world of sport business.
