Jannes has been an active member of Debating Matters for three years, continuously honing his skills as a debater through numerous competitions and public speaking engagements. He was selected as one of only six students to represent Germany at MACBilbao/MUNBilbao – an international Model United Nations conference that brings together more than 600 students from across the globe.
Academically, Jannes is studying law (Rechtswissenschaften) at Freie Universität Berlin, with a special interest in commercial law (and banking & capital markets law). He has gained hands-on legal experience at two renowned commercial law firms: White & Case LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms, where he worked in commercial litigation, and FPS Fritze Wicke Seelig, one of Germany’s leading independent commercial law firms known for its team of over 140 highly qualified lawyers.
