DM London Championship 2023

Sixth-form students from six schools will battle it out for the title of Debating Matters London Champions 2023 at a day of debate hosted at 55 Broadway, Westminster (1st Floor) on Thursday 6 July.

The competition is part of 20 for 20 – the 20th Anniversary programme of the competition – which will see 20 exciting events taking place across the year.

Debating Matters Christmas Lecture 2022

December 2022 marks the twentieth anniversary of Debating Matters. Since our inception, we’ve hosted sixth-form debating competitions across the UK, in Europe and beyond! We’ve worked in a range of different settings, including Debating Matters Beyond Bars in prisons.  Our acclaimed Topic Guides continue to be widely used as a teaching resource around the world. 

We’d like you to come and celebrate our twentieth anniversary on Monday 12 December at St George’s German Lutheran Church in Aldgate, London from 7pm.

Debating Matters Berlin 2022

Our Berlin Championship 2022 is in partnership with Freiblickinstitut and hosted by University of Applied Sciences Europe.

Sixth-form students from eight schools will battle it out for the title of Debating Matters Berlin Champions 2022 at a flagship day of debate on Thursday 16 June. We are delighted to be working in partnership with Freiblickinstitut and hosted once more by the University of Europe for Applied Sciences
