Debating Matters is a national schools debating competition for sixth formers that puts students under pressure to engage with the key issues facing society in an intellectually rigorous way.

Uxbridge College is on its way to the national finals of a debating competition after winning the London North Regional Finals at the Barbican Centre. Out of 280 institutions originally entered in the Debating Matters competition, the College has reached the final 12.
Sixth Form students from six schools from across London fought for a place at the Debating Matters national final in July. On Friday March 11, Queens’ School in Bushey were victorious and impressed judges with their sharp ideas and approach to the topics.
